The Public Employment Service (PYPA) announced that it had “opened” for proposals on Wednesday the fourth round of the “Business Subsidy Program to employ 3,000 unemployed people aged 30 and over in Attica with a focus on women”, which is jointly funded by Greece and the European Union (European Social Foundation) under the Operational Program “Human Resource Development, Education and Lifelong Learning” with a total budget of 26 million euros.

The aim of the call is to create a total of 3,000 new full-time jobs by hiring the unemployed, registered in the DYPA Unemployment Register, aged 30 and over in the Attica region, in areas with high unemployment and in particular in the regional divisions of the western sector Athens, Western Attica and Piraeus.

The program is being implemented in rounds, and a specific challenge concerns the fourth round of proposals. Each cycle concerns the creation of the remaining tasks until the total activity budget is exhausted. Each subsequent cycle is announced after 4 months from the date of the end of submission of applications for funding of the previous cycle.

As stated in the published invitation, the “potential beneficiaries – beneficiaries” of the share are private companies and, as a rule, private sector employers who carry out ordinary economic activities and operate in the regional divisions of the Western Sector of Athens, Western Attica and Piraeus. .

A prerequisite for a company to be eligible for the promotion is that it has not made redundancies during the last quarter prior to the funding application date (calendar). Provided that the number of employees at the start date of the audited quarter is the same as at the date of application – regardless of whether personnel changes occurred during this period – the company may be attracted to participate in the promotion. .

According to published data, businesses are subsidized for each person subject to the measure from the date they are hired and for a period of 12 months. Eligible expenses are provided in the form of a grant and relate to wages and other expenses of the beneficiary for 12 months of full-time employment, including monthly gross earnings, employer insurance premiums, and allowances for Christmas and Easter holidays and holidays. allowances. The action is implemented by applying the unit cost scale, which for full employment (25 insurance days) is 933 euros per month. Grant per job – beneficiary is:

a) for unemployed women (all categories) in the amount corresponding to 75% of the unit cost (up to 700 euros per month, 8397 euros per year).

b) for unemployed men as follows:

– for the unemployed (up to 12 months of continuous unemployment and aged 30 to 49 years) in the amount corresponding to 50% of the unit value (up to 467 euros / month, 5,598 euros per year).

– for the unemployed aged 50 and over, in the amount corresponding to 60% of the unit value (up to 560 euros per month, 6718 euros per year).

– for long-term unemployed persons aged 30 and over, in an amount corresponding to 65% of the unit cost (up to 606 euros per month, 7,277 euros per year).

– for the long-term unemployed aged 50 and over, in the amount corresponding to 70% of the unit cost (up to 653 euros/month, 7837 euros per year).

The amount of assistance that can be granted in total to one company from the promotion, added to any other minimum assistance that has been or will be provided, must not exceed the amount of EUR 200,000 or EUR 100,000 when the enterprise is active in transfers road economy, for the previous 3 years (current and two previous), in compliance with the conditions of accumulation Reg. 1407/2013 (minimum). The grant includes appropriate Christmas and Easter gifts and vacation pay.

The application for funding is submitted electronically to the State Assistance Information System (PSAI) provided by the Ministry of Development and Investment on the website www.ependyseis.gr.
