The Ministers of Agriculture of Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary discussed on Friday during a video conference the situation that has developed on the markets of 6 member countries as a result of the import of agri-food products from Ukraine. “Today, a meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary took place via video conference, which began at 11:00 a.m. and ended at 11:47 a.m. During the video conference, the situation that has developed on the markets of 6 member countries as a result of the import of agro-food products from Ukraine was discussed.

This meeting continues the approach of the Prime Ministers of Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, respectively, and the President of Bulgaria, who signed a letter addressed to the President of the European Commission with a request for concrete measures to improve the situation. During the video conference, we agreed that these problems should not be solved separately, but in a unitary manner by the six member countries,” the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture said.

It was also agreed that the experts of the relevant ministries should prepare information that they would approve at the political level, after which it would be presented both at the Council of Ministers of Agriculture on April 25 and to the European Commissioners for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski and, accordingly, trade.
