Song: Inflation and taxes flooded the country

As the holidays approach, here’s a song about inflation that was written some 47 years ago but only recently released.

The Planet Money podcast asked Ernest Jackson to sing it with Sugar Daddy and Gumbo Roo. It became a hit on Spotify, with hundreds of thousands of people listening to it.

From the beginning, Ernest Jackson says that inflation and taxes have taken over the country. The words are also relevant in Romania, given the provisions of Ordinance 16/2022. Listen to the song below, which has also been uploaded to YouTube.
