And at the same time, we will help citizens who have succeeded in the debt crisis, succeeded in the pandemic and have been fighting since November 2021 due to accuracy, we will help with social justice in 36-72 parts,” the minister emphasized during a conversation with SKAI.
Mr. Staikouras also stressed that “from yesterday until next week, five government initiatives with a total budgetary value of more than 1 billion euros are being implemented”, noting that “these initiatives cover the entire Greek society.”
“There are provisions on tax returns for farmers who are given a 50 percent tax credit for life, provided they participate in cooperative schemes. In the coming period, tax returns will include a provision to eliminate business tax in companies that increased the number of employees on March 12, 2022. In fact, this is a labor clause,” he added.
Asked about the possible abolition of the sham fee, Mr. Staikouras left the possibility open, stating that “we will see this in the next four years.”
In addition, speaking about allowances for pensioners, he stressed that “they are permanent and will be added depending on the course of the Greek economy and inflation.”
“With today’s data, it is assumed that the same pensioners and more will have an additional growth of 3-3.5% in 2024. The better the economy goes, the more dividends will return to the citizens of Greece in a socially just way. The available resources will be used in accordance with the needs,” the minister stressed.
