From next week, godfathers and godmothers will be able to buy lamps, toys and chocolate eggs at lower prices, as on March 29 the famous “Basket of Godfathers”which will be valid until Great Saturday, April 15.

The basket will include the following product categories: toy candle, board/puzzles, doll toys, dollhouses and other accessories (role play, children’s toys, figurines, assembly and construction toys, such as brick toys), vehicles – with remote control toys, electronic toys, sports toys (such as balls, children’s basketballs and goals), soft toys, musical toys, and optional Easter candies (eggs, bunnies, etc.). It is noted that each store may offer one or more of these categories, but not necessarily all, as the Ministry of Development wants as many companies as possible to participate, especially small ones. At the same time, the Ministry of Development plans to create another special “basket”, namely “Easter Basket” which will include, according to the information, the following product categories: lamb, goat meat, buns, Easter sweets. Final announcements are expected to be made next week, so the “Easter Basket” will run from April 5th to April 15th.

The Minister of Development’s intentions, as he found out, include institutionalization – in addition to extending the “housing basket” for one more quarter, that is, until June 30 – and the possibility of further extension not by law, but by decision of the ministry. Recall that the extension of the “basket” is usually granted by law. Such an extension was provided for in a draft law by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, which has been submitted for public discussion, but has not yet been submitted to Parliament. The ministry is studying that in the legislative regulation it will make in the coming days for the extension until June 30, the possibility of a further extension with a ministerial decision will be given, given that at the end of June the ministry is likely to have a “running” acting minister.
