Volkswagen wants to launch an electric car for 20,000 euros, but until then, it will launch one that will start at 25,000 euros. The Germans presented the Polo-sized ID 2all concept, which will be released in 2025 and will have two battery versions.
The Volkswagen ID 2all will also borrow design elements from the Polo and Golf, its length will be 4.05 meters, but the trunk will be 50% larger than the Polo.
The new architecture allows the use of two types of batteries: 38 kWh and 56 kWh. The 38kWh version will cost €25,000, and a range of 450km will be available in the 56kWh version. The maximum speed will be 160 km/h.
In the version with a larger battery, the promised autonomy is 450 km, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h will be carried out in 7 seconds. The serial version will be released more than two years later.

Charging from 10% to 80% will take 20 minutes at a high-speed station.
The Volkswagen ID 2 will be produced in Spain alongside other small electric Volkswagens, the Cupra and Skoda, all of which are built on a shorter version of the MEB electric platform found in the successful ID3 and ID4 models.
A 10.9-inch screen will be installed on board.
In the coming years, Volkswagen will release several fully electric models: the ID3 facelift, the extended version of the ID Buzz, the ID7 sedan and a compact SUV.
