OTE: Emergency financial assistance for your employees

The OTE Group is providing €6.2 million in emergency financial assistance to its employees, where, like Cosmote, new three-year operational collective bargaining agreements have recently been signed. Under this particular initiative, support is requested on the basis of low-paid workers, with the amount of assistance structured in stages (depending on wages) and the maximum amount set at 1,000 euros. Special categories of workers (large children with minor children, the disabled or with children with disabilities) will be paid maximum assistance, regardless of their wages.

“Thank you all for keeping the OTE group at a high level. We have a lot of work ahead of us, in the midst of new crises and challenges. With trust and solidarity, we move forward. Together we make the world a better place for everyone,” said OTE Group President and CEO Michalis Chamaz in his address to employees.

Also, according to the telecommunications group, the new three-year operational collective bargaining agreements (ESCOs) at OTE and Cosmote bring additional benefits, because all employees will see an improvement in their income from their implementation.

In particular, with new contracts:

– A modern and unified system of remuneration is provided in accordance with the role of each employee. The starting wage of the new wage categories exceeds up to 54% of the current official wage.

The allowance will be graduated according to the amount of salary, with a maximum amount of 1,000 euros.

– The wages of low-paid workers are increased by an average of 12%.

– A flexible social package “Be-Flexi” is introduced for all employees in the amount of 850 euros per year. The employee himself chooses from the list of benefits offered by the company, in accordance with his needs.

– For the first time OTE introduces a group pension plan (Pension Plan) for all employees.

At the same time, the provision of nurseries is maintained and conditions (special permits, reduced working hours) are provided for parents, single-parent families, patients and people with disabilities.

“We have taken on the difficult task of leading our country, our customers and society into the new digital age. The new agreements that we have signed with representatives of the workers confirm that our people are our fellow travelers on the path we have planned,” said Mr. Shamaz.
