After 26 years of electronic systems Taxis (tax system) and Taxisnet (citizen apps), the government and AADE are starting to change to move the tax office into the next era, embracing and supporting technologically and operationally sophisticated controls. At the same time, a new digital tax office will be created. Taxpayers can already fulfill most of the obligations from their computer through the developed applications, however, new applications will lead to faster service to citizens in a system that will not “freeze” or “fall”, while all procedures will be supported electronically.
At the same time, a “digital tax accountant” will gradually be included, which will guide the taxpaying accountant in everything he needs to complete the procedure or even find documents and references. In no case, of course, electronic systems can not replace the taxman.
But what will happen is that the tax authorities will care more about the control of individuals and enterprises. Thus, the Ministry of Digital Governance and AADE are planning a new taxi that will combine all information systems (Taxisnet Elenxis, etc.) into one. The new Taxi will do all this, and all the new apps that are planned will “click” on top of it. According to the tax administration, special groups of experts have already been created that study all the needs of the Registry, the Office of Revenue, Capital, Control, etc. The new system that will replace Taxis will be ahead of its time and will last at least 20 years. Its implementation will begin in 2023, and it will be fully ready and productive within the next five years.
The truth is that the aging taxi system needs an upgrade, government sources say. Program code that was last updated in 2007-2008 may need to be rewritten. AADE electronic systems were the most important weapon of governments in the years of memos, but especially in the years of the pandemic crisis, when the entire public sector “passed” through Taxinet in order to be certified for any action that was necessary for the issuance of supporting documents, but also for business financing purposes ( returnable advance), to compensate homeowners for “cut” rents, as well as those who were suspended from work.
But it’s important that Taxi covers the new business plan. With the inclusion of artificial intelligence in the arsenal of the control mechanism, additional speed will be required, since the “extraction” of information requires resources and time to achieve the desired result. Data mining, which is the art of “extracting” useful information from large amounts of information, will be aimed at combating tax evasion. For example, it could help the tax authorities figure out which tax returns are correct and which are not, who owns property and where.
