This scenario did not materialize, and a mild winter also contributed to lower demand, making additional loads unnecessary.

In the context of the terms of the contract, DEPA Emporias can cancel them within a certain period of time prior to their delivery at the cost of a “fine”, which is set at 5 million euros per load, which means 50 million euros for a total of ten shipments of LNG.

The multi-legislative act of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was submitted to Parliament the day before yesterday, includes a special provision for compensation by DEPA Emporia, which stipulates that this will be done by the Administrator of Renewable Energy and Guarantees of Origin (DAPEEP). through the Energy Transition Fund.
