Ministry of Tourism which are created to ensure that everything related to tourism activities (licensing new enterprises, investigating complaints, exporting statistics) is carried out in a unified manner. In this direction, a new platform, where the data and functions of the existing Register of Tourism Enterprises (ΜΘΕ), will interact with registries and systems that store information about the tourism business. And this is to ensure that the Ministry of Tourism has a reliable source of information for all tourism enterprises. Information will also be collected on all legally operating tourism businesses, and the process of submitting information for initial licensing or renewal of their license will be left to third-party systems.

At the same time, the control of business by the regional audit services of the ministry will be included in the investigation of any complaints, which will also be submitted through the new system.

More broadly, the purpose of the “mydigitaltourism” platform is to reduce the administrative burden and increase the availability of timely and reliable statistics on economic activity in tourism, as well as to provide real-time data on accommodation in tourism facilities (for example, accommodation out of accommodation to other types of facilities such as campsites, pleasure boats, etc.) are now being made available from tourist arrival businesses.

“mydigitaltourism” will also be linked to an electronic platform for the control of the operation of all tourism enterprises (e-ΜΘΕ), through which, at the central level, the data characterizing each tourism business, which is licensed and controlled by the Ministry of Tourism and agencies under his control. To ensure efficient collection of statistics, arrival and departure data will be collected in real time from all accommodations in the country. These will either come from booking management platforms or using a core management environment that will be created and made available to travel businesses that do not have a booking platform.
