In particular, by the end of the month it is necessary to pay or conclude an agreement:

• Latest 2022 income tax payment totaling approximately $350 million.

• Last installment of ENFIA 2022 with an amount reaching 300 million.

• Vehicle registration fee for 2023 and electronic filing of a declaration of voluntary immobility. Collections from transport taxes reach 1.1 billion euros. Car owners who cannot pay the 2023 road tax have the option to immobilize their cars. It is noted that those who park their cars do not need to remove their license plates. The plates remain on the vehicle and indicate the parking space where the vehicle will remain while it is parked.

• Payment of January VAT by enterprises maintaining biographical books.

Overall, for 2023, total tax collections are projected at €56.748 billion. In February, as mentioned above, the amount payable is estimated at 4.3 billion euros, while in March there are no significant obligations, as a result of which tax revenues are limited to 3.4 billion euros. The next difficult period begins in May with the payment of the first installment of ENFIA for 2023, and also in July when the first installment of income tax is paid. In fact, in July, the Ministry of Finance expected to raise about 6.4 billion euros.

The last installment of income tax and ENFIA, at the same time, new obligations are “fulfilled”.

Like every year, the second half of the year is harder for taxpayers as they are asked to pay tax every month. The appointment to the tax office will cost 32.361 billion euros, compared with 25.06 billion euros in the first half of the year. Of course, the above amounts do not apply to all ENFIA and income tax, but also indirect ones. In fact, the government, as in the previous year, expects to receive increased amounts from consumption taxes and VAT. In particular, taxes on goods and services are expected to reach $32.5 billion.

Income from VAT

In particular, VAT revenues are expected at 22.2 billion and consumption taxes at 7.1 billion. Income tax is expected at 17.7 billion and ENFIA at 2.3 billion.
