As a reminder, the platform opened today for applications of beneficiaries with VAT numbers that expire on 1, 2, 3 and 4. From tomorrow, Wednesday, the platform will be open to all beneficiaries, regardless of the validity period of their VAT numbers.
The allowance is 10% of monthly purchases and starts at €22 per month for single-member households and increases by €10 for each additional household member. Market Pass beneficiaries are all tax residents of Greece, as long as the declared family income for the 2021 tax year and the value of their property do not exceed the limits set according to the household category.
Beneficiaries may choose to receive Market Pass financial support:
● or by issuing an intangible digital card, which they will store on their smartphone and which they will show when making purchases. In this case, the beneficiaries will receive the total amount due to them in five installments (one installment each for February and March 2023 and four monthly installments until July 2023).
● either by direct payment of the subsidy amount to a bank account that they declare if they do not have a smart device or do not want to use it in this process. In this case, the beneficiaries will receive 80% of the amount due to them in two quarterly installments.
A citizen enters the Market Pass using Taxisnet codes, either directly through vouchers.gov.gr, or from gov.gr, in the “Property and Taxation” section and the “Civil Grants” subsection. At the same time, it is possible to apply through the CEP. All citizen information is automatically retrieved through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems.
