Under the current conditions, it is easier for Russian travel professionals to obtain Schengen visas for Hungary and Greece, the Union of Russian Travel Agents (ATOR) said on Tuesday, according to the Russian news agency TASS.
“You can easily and quickly get a Schengen visa for a tourist trip to Hungary. Thanks to a stable visa policy, this is one of the most popular countries in Europe with Russians, even under sanctions. “Hungary is one of two EU countries where travel agents accredited by consulates have the advantage of a quota,” ATOR said in a statement.
Greece is the second EU country where tour operators have their own, separate entrance, in addition to the common one. “There are no queues here,” the ad says.
Submitted applications for Hungarian and Greek Schengen visas are considered on average 17-20 business days, but it is better to submit documents at least a month before the planned trip, ATOR notes.
The association recalled that Austria, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Spain, France, Hungary, Slovenia, Switzerland and Portugal still accept documents from Russians for Schengen visas for tourist trips. However, now most of the demand for tourist trips with the issuance of a Schengen visa falls on five EU countries – France, Italy, Spain, Hungary and Greece, the association of travel agents of Russia indicated.
