Until February 13, thousands of teachers applied for retirement

They narrow the fields for thousands teachers who are entitled and willing to submit application for retirement, since the process started on February 1st and will end on the following Monday, February 13th. Teacher resignations are submitted between 1 and 13 February by the teacher himself, either online at gov.gr or by written application to local education departments. Of course, this does not mean that there will be no teachers and professors in schools in the middle of the academic year. The employment relationship is automatically terminated at the end of the academic year (August 31) and provided that the teacher does not withdraw the letter of resignation. The said application for withdrawal may be submitted within one month from the date of filing the application for dismissal.

The submission of supporting documents and applications for pensions is carried out in agreement with the local departments of education. In practice, the person concerned submits a letter of resignation, and a year later provides the necessary supporting documents or a letter of resignation along with the letter of resignation.

These are supporting documents such as:

1. Recent certificate of marital status.

2. Type A certificate (recruitment).

3. A photocopy of the police certificate and spouse.

4. AMCA and his/her spouse.

5. When a marriage is dissolved by divorce, a certificate of divorce is presented.

6. A photocopy of the 1st page of the paybook, on which IVAN must be registered (with the full name of the pensioner).

7. Declaration of income.

8. Certificate of study at a university or TEI for children under 24 years of age.

9. If a decision is made to recognize as fictitious years by the State Accounting Service (GLC), this must be provided, as well as the protocol number for requests for the recognition of fictitious years. In the case of a buyout application, relevant supporting documents (such as a training certificate) must be submitted along with the retirement application.

10. Applications for the appointment of (4 separate) basic, additional pensions, dividends and lump sum payments.

11. Responsible retirement statement.

Such as explains the lawyer Dionysis Rizos in a conversation with “K”., the parties concerned should be very careful, as the possibility of resigning at any other time – apart from the deadline – is only granted if the application for resignation is submitted for exceptional reasons, which will be decided by the ministry after agreement between KISDE and KYSPE. The reasons for which a dismissal can be issued in exceptional cases during the year are the illness of either the insured himself or a member of his family (a KEPA decision is not required for him, but is required for members of his family), difficult family circumstances reasons (for example, moving abroad), etc.

“K” today, with the help of Mr. Rizosis a quick retirement guide for teachers, bearing in mind that each retirement situation is unique and the information is general and therefore indicative.

Thus, teachers who have pension rights and who have either reached the appropriate age limit before August 2015 or work out the increased limits until 08/31/2023 can leave this year. In particular, they may leave:
