“Hydroelectricity” has begun to provide electricity bills that have been delayed for the past nine months, and they will be sent at intervals of one week, instead of “in a stack” for several months, says the president of the directorate of “Hydroelectricity” Bohdan Badya.
He said on Thursday on Antena 3 that Hidroelectrica started the invoicing process for last April, and invoices will be sent to customers at intervals of a week, a week and a half, and payment can be made in stages, upon request, as the company announced last year.
“Stacks of 9-10 bills will not come”
- “There will be no stacks of 9-10 bills. The billing process for the previous period has started for Hidroelectrica, it was billed in April, and we have decided that the bills will not come in one form, but come for each month separately, with a certain interval.
- We do this to try to reduce the number of installment requests customers may make if they can’t pay their bills.
- There is such a possibility. It is also displayed on the Hidroelectrica website (there is no option to pay bills in installments), including forms.
- In order to meet our customers, invoices will arrive at a certain frequency every month, several invoices will not come in one letter.
- Then the invoicing process will be a little faster, perhaps with an interval of a week or a half, precisely in order not to overwhelm the cash registers with requests for rescheduling and to support our customers.
- This is the way in which we proposed to restore the billing process with the transition to the new IT solution, precisely in order not to overburden customers and not put them in a situation where they have to make additional efforts by making some form redesigns and requests to us.” , – said Bohdan Badya.
Electricity bills at Hidroelectrica can be divided into a maximum of 6 monthly payments
Hidroelectrica was overwhelmed by the large number of switchers from other energy suppliers, unable to cope with the huge number of customers, which blocked the billing system. Thus, in most cases, no invoices will be issued from April 2022.
Hidroelectrica published an announcement on its website that “it has successfully implemented a new IT billing system that integrates state-of-the-art software solutions capable of optimally managing the increased number of internal and external customers in the company’s portfolio, as well as those who wish to enter into contracts for future supply”.
- “We assure you that we strive for continuous improvement of the services offered to all customers, and the transition to new computer programs has become one of the absolutely necessary steps in this direction. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the periods of delay in invoicing,” Hidroelectrica said.
The company “reminds” that the payment period for the issued invoices “is relaxed”: 45 days for household consumers, respectively 30 days for non-household consumers, periods for which no fines are charged.
If the payment amount is too high, people will also be able to pay the bill in installments, but this will require an application, the company said. The request can be sent to the e-mail address [email protected] or sent to the Hidroelectrica offices.
The payment can be spread over a maximum of 6 monthly installments of equal amounts, and during the installment period the current bills must be paid together with the installment payments.
