The decrease in objective values, which were activated in January 2022, is required by many municipalities in the country from Ministry of Finance. They have already submitted objections electronically to the database maintained by the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems Ministry of Digital Governance, however, the deadline is Friday, January 20th. To the municipalities that have requested or are about to request an override objective values objects at lower levels include the following areas: Athens, Zografou, Pallini, Rafina, Glyfada, Agios Dimitrios, Heraklion, Rhodes, Kalamata and Kilkis.
The Municipality of Athens requires that they be redefined in all city apartments.
In any case, even if the competent committee deems it necessary to repeat the process of objective values, new values to be determined will not be retroactive.
The Municipality of Athens is asking for a review of the objective value of all apartments in Athens, as injustices and serious misrepresentations have been found. In particular, the mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis, proposed that the maximum increase in prices for objective values within the boundaries of the municipality should not exceed 55% compared to 2021 prices. Relative to the current prices of 2021, the adjustment of objective values resulted in an increase ranging from +45.00% to +94.74% in 30 areas of the Municipality of Athens and mainly in low transaction value properties.
