Peugeot, part of the Stellantis group, will release five electric models by 2025, from small cars to large SUVs. The French presented at the CES exhibition in Las Vegas the concept of an electric car, which gives clues to the design of models that will enter the market after 2025 and 2026.
Peugeot has electric versions of the 208, 2008, 308 and Rifter in the range, and work has begun on an all-electric version of the 408 SUV coupe. Electric versions of the 3008 and 5008 are also likely to launch.
A hatchback version of the e-308 will be launched in a few months.
After 2025, Peugeot electric models will be built on the new STLA architecture within the Stellantis group.
At CES in Las Vegas, Peugeot unveiled a futuristic concept called Inception, an electric car that develops the equivalent of 680 hp, accelerates to 100 km/h in less than three seconds and has a 100 kWh mega-battery.
At the moment, the largest battery in the Peugeot range is 51 kWh, giving the e-308 a range of more than 350 km.
Inception has a range of 800 km, which will allow you to travel without recharging, for example, between Paris and Marseille or between Brussels and Berlin.
In late 2021, Peugeot announced that after 2030 it will only sell electric cars in Europe, but will keep versions with conventional engines for other regions of the world.
