Many dreamed of a life in which they would not have to work. In accordance with Forbes, there are places in the world with such a cheap cost of living that an American can move there and no longer work. One of these places is Hellas. “This is the year for realizing a dream: quit your job and move to one of the cheapest (and best) places to live in the world, a country so cheap that you can stop working,” he writes Forbes.

The article is based on her data international lifewhich publishes AAnnual Global Pension Index, with the best places to retire. But, as Forbes points out, this list isn’t just for retirees. “Think about your options abroad and things start to look better,” says Jennifer Stevens of International Living. “You can, in fact, get rid of the daily jog. When you can cut the cost of living in half, and in some places even more, you have great potential for a better life. If you don’t have to work as many or as many hours, then you have the luxury of spending your days the way you want with people whose company you enjoy.”

Greece is in 7th place in the list of places where you can do all this. As Forbes notes, this is a new direction added to the list this year. “And, of course, it’s a beautiful place and at a good price,” Stevens says. How much does it cost to live in Greece for an American? “In practice, a couple can live comfortably in Greece starting at $1,900 a month, and a person from about $1,600,” Stevens explains. “But keep in mind that for a renewable residence visa, you must show that you have at least 2,000 euros per month.”
