Technical specification decisions that will allow online connection of cash registers to POS were announced in previous days by AADE, setting the stage for the implementation of the measure in the spring.
In particular, the decision of the Governor of AADE Giorgos Pitsilis determined the technical conditions for two new types of tax electronic mechanism (ETF). These are the tax electronic totalization and marking mechanism of the general type and (FIMAS) and the restaurant FIMAS.
1. FIMAS provides users with new features while ensuring the accuracy of the data transmitted to AADE, interacts with POS to transmit card payment transactions, and is updated without an on-site technician visit.
2. REPUTATION of the restaurant is for catering establishments that have tables. It also has security specifications and records the transaction process, from the issuance of order forms to the issuance of the final legal check and payment.
Technical conditions have been determined – The implementation of the event is expected from the spring.
As stated by AADE in its related statement, its goal is for businesses to operate with modern FIMs throughout 2023 that are suitable for their retail operations. A more specific schedule for replacing the FIM will be determined in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance after consultation with market operators.
By the second decision of the Governor AADE, taking into account the comments received as a result of relevant consultations and implementation tests by manufacturers, the interface specifications between FIM and EFT / POS payment card terminals, as defined by A. 1098/13 , updated -7-2022 and valid from 01.01 .2023.
The highlights of the update are to improve encryption when communicating between two devices and to eliminate possible failures either in the FEM or in the infrastructure for connecting two devices. FIM’s relationship with EFT/POS aims to facilitate payment card transactions while generating government revenue from the issuance of retail receipts through FIM.
In addition, by amending the joint decision of the Deputy Minister of Finance and the Governor of AADE, improvements have been made regarding data transmission on the myDATA digital platform, which makes it easier for businesses and freelancers.
