IMF: 2023 will be a difficult year for the global economy

For much of the global economy, 2023 will be a difficult year as the main drivers of global growth – the US, Europe and China – face a slowdown in activity, said the CEO International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva.

The new year will be “harder than the year we’re leaving behind,” Georgieva said on the US news network’s “Face the Nation” news program.

“Why; Because the three major economies – the US, the EU and China – are slowing down at the same time,” he stressed.
