The Romanian Post announced on Monday the opening of its first foreign branch in Chisinau, called Poșta Română SRL, through which it will continue its commercial partnership with the state-owned Poșta Moldovei.

Poșta Română SRL operates in the premises of the international business center Skytower, on the 5th floor.

To begin with, service operators interested in printing, enveloping and distribution in the Republic of Moldova can do all this, integrated, at the Stamp Factory, a branch of the Romanian Post, the company announced regarding the services it will provide in its rural neighbor.

At the same time, being present on the market of the Republic of Moldova, Poșta Română wants to significantly increase the current volumes and frequency of postal routes between the two countries.

The opening of the first foreign branch of the Post of Romania in Chisinau is part of the efforts of the “Romania – logistics hub” project. With the help of this project, among other things, Poșta Română intends to support the integration of the geographic space of the Republic of Moldova in order to develop an important logistics hub in the region of Southeast Europe.

The starting point for the establishment of the subsidiary in Chisinau is the memorandum on the strategy for the development of the Romanian post office through digitization – automation – robotization – technology (DART), approved by the government in April 2022. With this act, the company undertook internationalization, accordingly, the development of some long-term strategies to expand the field in which they operate.
