A rare diamond of 15.90 carats, two necklaces created by jeweler Andy Warhol or Salvador Dali, a Rolex watch that costs more than a Ford Mustang V8 or a Cadillac Seville Opera, which participated in the 100th anniversary of the world’s first motor race. – these are just some of the 500 items up for auction as part of the traditional Christmas events: Jewelery and Decorative Arts Auction and Clocks and Collector Cars Auction, which will take place next week, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 20 and 21, on the A10 from the auction house Artmark.

From the prestigious collection of Marina Dimitropoulos come two large jewels created by Lisa Sotilis, who created jewels for Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali or Queen Maria Jose de Savoy. A spectacular gold necklace has a starting price of 8,000 euros, and a rare pendant – 6,000 euros. Together with them, a special gold ring, decorated in the center with a rare diamond of approx. 15.90 carats, surrounded by diamonds. It is a good time to buy at the opening price of €16,000, given the increase in the price of diamonds on the back of fueling the demand market in parallel with the suspension of mining companies, as well as forecasts announcing a significant increase in prices in 2023. The diamond market is sensitive to global events such as changes in the political landscape and current events, but they do not lose value through use waiting for the right moment to sell them and get a return on investment. A white gold ring set with a 2.7-carat blue diamond is also a good investment, with a starting price of €8,000 at the December 20 auction. Another example, no less valuable, but at an affordable price, is a pair of gold earrings decorated with diamonds, the starting price of which is only 400 euros. Brilliant forms of investment or exceptional gifts for loved ones are two reasons to visit a jewelry and decorative arts auction.

A day later, on Wednesday, December 21, the Collector’s Watch and Car Christmas Auction features 28 Rolex watches, including some rarities such as a rare platinum Rolex Day Date, including the original platinum strap. The 2014 model has a starting price of 16,000 euros. Another investment example and one of the most desirable Rolex models is the Rolex Daytona in gold, surrounded by diamonds, in the original box and with a warranty card. The starting price of the model is 40,000 euros, which is comparable to the price of a Ford Mustang V8 car sold at the same auction for 35,000 euros. The 1967 model has recently been fully restored and has a historic car certificate.

For the first time at the Artmark auction, the watch MB&F HM Nr. 8, with 30 gems. The model resembles Can-Am racing cars, given that the founder of the company, Maximilian Busser, dreamed of becoming a car designer, has a starting price of 30,000 euros. The entire movement of the watch is visible thanks to the 18-karat gold case, which is covered on all sides with ultra-sapphire glass.

The collection of watches is complemented by a selection of vintage cars, rare for the Romanian market. The very rare Cadillac Seville was produced in only 600 examples, and only a few of them are still in working condition. The model has a starting price of €35,000 at the Christmas Auction – Collectible Watches and Cars, and all aesthetic and functional modifications are made by Grandeur Motor Car. In 1978, the car took part in the 100-year anniversary race of the first car race in the world. It has impressive features even for a modern car, such as a trunk with a soft close system.

Exclusive jewelry and watches, as well as collector cars, can be admired for free at the Cesianu-Racovită Palace. The exhibition is open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00. Auctions on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 20 and 21, will be held online, on the Artmark Live 2.0 platform, as well as in the Palatul Cesianu-Racoviță auction hall.
