In October of this year, Adobe Romania, the company’s largest center in Europe focused on the development of software products, announced the achievement of the threshold of 1,000 employees in the local market. In addition, the company plans to strengthen its position as a center of excellence in Romania and attract new talents, availability of open positions from entry level to senior level and management. But what does it mean for a company like Adobe to have a portfolio of benefits to attract talent in the marketplace? And above all, what do employees really value?
Dragos Giorgice, senior design director and one of the first employees of Interakt, the company acquired by Adobe Romania, appreciates the leadership attitude and security provided by a team of people with the highest level of training and experience.
What I’ve always appreciated about Adobe is that it doesn’t shy away from asserting itself and taking action to become number one in the areas it works in. The winning mentality is felt at every level, from the individual to the team. We are here to provide the best experience for employees and customers.Adobe, of course, has a huge scope for development, we are encouraged to explore areas we are not familiar with (due to shadow programs), and we are supported when we want to change the scope of work. But for me, the quality of my colleagues and the desire to be better remain at the top, says Dragos to Giorgitsa.
Dragoš has been part of the Adobe team since 2006, when it entered the Romanian market. He is proud of his achievements and believes that at Adobe, professional development is encouraged and supported every step of the way.
I’ve grown several teams from scratch, actually hiring the first person on the team, only to have them years later become executive teams of hundreds of people; those first hires are today chief scientists (one of Adobe’s technical-advanced roles) or engineering directors. This also applies to the current Experience Platform team, as well as other teams I’ve led in the past. I believe my biggest professional achievement is creating the right environment for teams to be successful and to make an impact on customers – Dragos adds.
For Tudor Koman, on the other hand, his biggest professional achievement at Adobe was going from intern to software engineer at the age of just 17, a result that could not have existed without the help he received from the company.
What I appreciate most about Adobe is the openness that we all have, regardless of the team we’re a part of, age, or position in the company. A very good example is the fact that I managed to get an intern position 4 years ago at a fairly young age, being an atypical candidate. I was 15 years old and the youngest employee at the time (and still am). I got the opportunity to start my career in programming and work in a team with amazing colleagues who helped and guided me. We worked side by side, looking for solutions to complex problems, but we were also friends. Together with my colleagues, I grew well in the team and took on new roles and responsibilities, – said Tudor, who holds the position of software development engineer at Adobe Target and is the youngest employee of Adobe Romania.
Cătălina Cotelin, Senior Procurement Analyst, is Adobe Romania’s first employee, having joined the company in 2006. She is responsible for Adobe Systems Romania contracts, leading the procurement team. The organizational culture, focused on respect for employees, colleagues and the benefits offered, is the main reason why I have worked at Adobe for more than 15 years. For me, Adobe is an ideal environment where I can develop professionally, with opportunities for continuous growth, together with professionals who are guided by the same values. The people at Adobe have contributed greatly to my education, says Catalina Kotelin.
