In an open meeting held on Monday, Elon Musk said that Twitter is done with layoffs and is now even looking for hires.

After the mass layoffs of the new owner, followed by a wave of layoffs due to his ultimatum, Twitter appears to be suffering from an engineering shortage even by Musk’s standards.

During the meeting, Elon Musk said that software engineers are currently being sought, and other employees are being asked to make recommendations.

Twitter doesn’t have any jobs available on the listed commercial sites, and Elon Musk hasn’t said exactly what positions are being sought, only that engineers who are good at writing software are a priority.

From 7,500 employees before Elon Musk took over, Twitter still has about 2,700 employees.

Musk admitted for the first time that many mistakes were made in the process of reorganizing the company, but says that the situation will stabilize over time.
