18 km from Valea Vişeului to Berlibas (Ukraine), and 20 km between Teresva (Ukraine) and Sighetu Marmatsia, through Kampulung to Tysa, are currently being repaired.

“For the resumption of passenger train traffic on the Valea Vişeului (CFR) – Berlibas (UZ) line, a broad gauge line, SRCF Cluj carried out repairs under its own management, replacing approximately 1,400 special wooden sleepers, 36 tons of small sleepers. track material and completion of the line with 400 tons of crushed stone, the line will be reopened for passenger traffic on October 12, 2022,” CFR Infrastructura reports.

SRCF Cluj continues the railway infrastructure repair program, works aimed at optimizing the cross-border rail connection Teresva (UZ) – Kampulung la Tisa (CFR) – Sighetu Marmaciei – Bocicoi – Valea Viseului (CFR) – Berlibas (UZ) link, currently under repair on the broad-gauge line from Tereswa (UZ) – Kampulung la Tisa (CFR) – Sighetu-Marmatsia – Vala-Višeului border crossing, works are planned to be completed by the end of the year.
