New ministerial decision “shopping basket” will be released in the coming days by the Ministry of Development and Investment, as stated by Minister Adonis Georgiadis
The solution will be to ensure that the labels on the products in the basket are larger and more visible, as well as to ensure the adequacy of the products offered.
The minister also noted in an interview with SKAI that the first week of the implementation of the measure was encouraging, adding that from Wednesday on the electronic application of the ministry, product prices will be tracked weekly.
At the same time, he announced a meeting with representatives of the food industry, but first, as he said, after receiving the results of the inspection of the Interagency Group for Market Control (DIMEA).
It is recalled that yesterday in his post on social networks, after another visit to a supermarket in western Athens, the minister wrote: “… We have a way to get where we want. We will definitely increase the signage and ensure a continuous supply of products.”
