Colombian oil company Ecopetrol has increased its oil supplies to Europe this year from almost zero to 6-7% of the total as part of the EU’s replacement of Russian oil, the company’s CEO Felipe Bayon told the Russian news agency TASS.
According to him, at the end of the year, oil supplies from Colombia to Europe may continue to increase.
“Now we are selling a little more oil from Colombia to Europe, our exports have increased to 6-7%, obviously, it will increase a little more. Some of our shipments that went to other markets are now going to Europe, mainly to Spain,” he said.
The head of the company specified that last year Ecopetrol practically did not supply oil to Europe.
“They are asking us for more oil because part of the Russian oil does not go to Europe,” he explained.
