Introducing new days of leave, new bans on dismissal, informing candidates / employees about certain additional aspects such as vocational training offered by the employer and including them in the employment contract, as well as insuring employees during the period when they are carer’s leave benefits in the system social health insurance without paying contributions is one of the main changes made to the Code of Labor Laws by Law no. 283/2022.

Thus, employees can take 5 days of leave per year to care for a relative who needs care or support due to a serious medical problem, and 10 days for family emergencies caused by illness or accident, in which case they cannot be released situations Serious medical problems, as well as the conditions for granting care leave, will be established by a joint order of the Minister of Labor and Social Solidarity and the Minister of Health.
