The management of the bank and the Association of Alfa-Bank Employees have reached an agreement to significantly strengthen the staff of Alfa-Bank by providing a one-time emergency financial assistance under the new current collective labor agreement, which will enter into force from the period 2022-2025. The emergency financial support, which for special categories of personnel amounts to 2,000 euros, is paid to the vast majority of employees and, according to a statement by Alpha Bank, “is proof of the special care that the group takes to support its people.”
In particular, emergency financial assistance will be paid to bank employees with a monthly salary of up to 3,000 euros and is structured in stages from 300 to 800 euros depending on their salary, and for special categories of employees, such as families of origin, widows and employees with a disability level of more than 67%, the amount is 2000 euros. In negotiations with the employees’ union, Alfa-Bank’s management advocated a phased financial support for the bank’s employees depending on their regular monthly earnings, rather than horizontal support, which, according to the bank, will not benefit low-paid workers.
A new business contract was signed providing for the creation of a professional fund.
At the same time, with Alfa-Bank’s new operating SSE, the structure of support and social benefits for staff is being modernized, such as, for example, increasing benefits for patients with kidney disease, expanding the provision of medical assisted reproduction to employees whose spouses do not work in the bank, payment of insurance bonuses, as well as extending the age limit of insurance coverage for disabled children of employees, increasing the level of medical benefits and subsidizing an employee’s wages due to a serious illness for up to 9 months.
The new contract also provides for the creation of a professional fund, as well as the introduction of a new, modern system of grades and salaries in the direction of adapting the operating model and improving the organizational efficiency of Alfa-Bank in the light of transformation. the program it is implementing and the changes that have taken place in the banking sector more broadly.
A key feature of the new tiered system is the inclusion of all employees – whether in the central service or in the store – in a single special payroll fund with the possibility of adjusting wages, taking into account, among other things, the significance of the position and the performance of the employee. The implementation of the new system will begin on February 1, 2023, while ensuring that there will be no reduction in the existing salaries of employees.
