
It could be the fuel oil that financial staff is currently “burning”, but there are still concerns about diesel fuel.
Finance Ministry officials said this week that the €0.15 subsidy for refueling diesel will end in September, as interest should now be focused on fuel oil. Therefore, the corresponding subsidy for fuel oil announced on Monday is higher (0.25 euros/litre).
However, market data is likely to have changed the plan and made financial staff think about continuing to subsidize. The price of diesel is above 1.90 euros/litre, and if the subsidy of 0.15 euros is stopped now, this means that from October diesel will “fly” above 2 euros.
