
At 10 am Monday, the finance ministry’s political leadership is expected to detail the measures announced on Saturday by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the sidelines of the Thessaloniki International Fair.
Of particular interest is the specialization in a number of measures, such as:
• €250 emergency assistance to be provided in December to 2.3 million beneficiaries.
• The heating allowance, which will rise to 300 million this year from 174 million last year, and with potential beneficiaries of approximately 1.3 million households.
• a package of stimulus and disincentive measures for the phased subsidization of electricity bills.
• a €60 million subsidy to farmers in response to higher fertilizer prices and to 89 million to 50,000 livestock keepers in response to higher animal feed prices.
• Expansion of the Recycling – Device Replacement program, which will now increase the number of beneficiaries by 200,000 people.
• Expansion of the Tourism for All program by another 200,000 beneficiaries.
It is also expected that there will be an update on the housing package announced by the prime minister.
Announcements will be made by Finance Minister Christos Staikouras, Deputy Finance Minister Theodore Skilakakis and Deputy Finance Minister Apostolos Vesiropulos.
