In particular, as announced yesterday, SMERC has acquired a controlling stake in the cleaning company SKYMAR Services. This acquisition essentially creates the largest building management, maintenance and cleaning services group (general facilities management), with a total estimated turnover in 2022 of 80 million euros. The total number of employees will exceed 4,000, making the Cordia Group one of the top 20 employers in Greece.

SKYMAR Services, owned by Leonida Campani, has many years of experience and presence in the cleaning and catering industry, and an outstanding clientele that includes McArthurGlen Discount Village, Attica Department Stores, Lamda Development, River West, Newrest, Rolex Hellas, among others. , Major Culture Foundation, TITAN Cement Industry, Vivartia, Syngelidis Group, Regency Casino Mont Parnes, while already collaborating with Cordia at The Ellinikon Experience Park, AGET Heraklis (Lafarge) Cement Industry, ENISA, etc. It is noted that Mr. Campanis will remain in the management of the company as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In total, the number of employees of the Cordia group exceeds 4,000 people.

Recall that in the fall of 2021, SMERC acquired the former Engie Hellas, a leader in the provision of modern property maintenance services, as well as in the provision of energy services and high-tech solutions, which it renamed Cordia.

Then, in early 2022, the investment fund acquired a majority stake in ESA Security Solutions, the largest and fastest growing company in the field of manned security guards and electronic security systems in Greece.

With this acquisition, an excellent cooperation between SMERC and Latsco Family Office, the family office of Marianne Latsis, began. And this is because ESA has been owned by the Latsco family office since 2018, and with the acquisition of SMERC, the former became a minority shareholder of the Cordia group in a share swap.
