Staikouras: 2 billion in September, supporting electricity bills

State aid for September will grow to 2 billion in what concerns them electricity billsthe Minister of Finance said Christos Staikouras.

At the same time, speaking earlier on Real FM 97.7 radio and referring to the TIF package, the Minister stressed that there are dozens of measures on the table, but what will be implemented will depend on the available fiscal space, as well as the priorities that the Prime Minister will set in cooperation with the financial apparatus of the government.

Price increase announced by providers for September

Recall that at high levels as expectednominal electricity tariffs for September are formed based on provider ads.

Interest is now turning to the size of the subsidy the government will announce next month, which aims to keep end consumer prices close to August levels.

Actual: Jump of wholesale prices in Europe

Meanwhile, with prices above 600 euros/MWh, tomorrow’s wholesale trade is taking shape across Europe, with a few exceptions. In particular, in Greece, the price of electricity will record a new record of 616.38 euros, reaching the highest level even compared to other European countries.

In particular, in France the wholesale price will be 611 euros, and in Germany and Italy – 605 euros. In Poland the price reaches 387 euros, and in Ireland 500 euros. The highest price is fixed in Switzerland – 642.52 euros. On the other hand, in Spain and Portugal the price is 182 euros.
