
Extensive inspections of organized beaches and eating places on Andros and Syros were carried out by inspectors from the Interservice Market Control Unit (DIMEA) over two days from 18 to 19 August 2022.
As stated in the message of the Ministry of Development and Investments, 46 inspections were carried out at public catering and beach service enterprises and 26 violations were identified related to non-compliance with the Rules for the circulation and sale of goods and the failure to issue a tax declaration. receipts.
The total amount of fines is 18,000 euros.
Violations in Mykonos and Pieria
From August 18 to 21, 2022, the Economic Police Directorate and the Economic Police Sub-directorate of Northern Greece carried out inspections of stores of health interest in Mykonos and Pieria for compliance with insurance, labor and tax laws.
Violations were confirmed in 6 stores, and in 2 of them the competent DOY was informed to administer the suspension for 48 hours.
In particular, in the context of controls, it was found that:
- in the cafe-bar, 26 checks were not issued, with a total value of 491 euros, in connection with which a 48-hour suspension of work is provided, as well as the employment of 2 employees outside working hours,
- in a restaurant, hire 2 employees after hours and
- in a restaurant, hire an employee after hours.
- in a cafe-restaurant, 17 checks were not issued, with a total value of 572.5 euros, in connection with which it is planned to suspend work for 48 hours, as well as employ 5 employees outside working hours,
- in the buffet-bar-restaurant not issuing 4 receipts and hiring 8 employees outside working hours and
- in a coffee shop to hire 3 employees outside working hours and 9 employees not registered in timesheets.
In all cases, the competent authorities (SEPE, DOY, PEKA) are informed in order to impose appropriate administrative sanctions.
