This amount corresponds to the 2nd insurance category of freelancers plus 10 euros for unemployment. For some others, there will be a credit or zero balance. That is, either they will be entitled to a refund of contributions, or the contributions they paid will correspond to the amount due.

In practice, specific freelancers, farmers, or the self-employed (doctors, lawyers, and engineers) who, in addition to their paid work, had other work as self-employed paid double contributions for part or all of 2021: for the paid work but also for the income they received from self-employment. For these self-employed services, they will have to pay contributions if those who pay for paid work are below 262 euros. If the insured has chosen a higher insurance category, then he will have to pay higher insurance premiums.

Payment of received insurance premiums is expected to be made in 8 or even 12 monthly installments. A multi-payment solution was chosen because the self-employed, who will be asked to pay additional amounts, will have to simultaneously pay ongoing contributions arising from any unpaid work.

It is estimated that approximately 50,000 insured persons who receive debit notices will have to pay between 600 and 800 euros on average as the difference between the category of insurance they have chosen for the unpaid services they offer and the salary they receive for these services. hired.

It should be noted that the competent services of EFKA are at the same time “running” the software for documents of ownership, which is supposed to be activated during the next period, probably during September. And in this case, the repayment of contributions for 2020-2021 for the so-called “temporary workers” will be made according to the plan in several installments. EFKA services estimate that there are about 15,000 workers who in previous years were paid for services rendered with documents known as “titles of ownership” and, barring unforeseen circumstances, the first documents will be issued next month.
