The Ministry of Development will receive almost 1.3 billion lei in the budget adjustment, which is almost twice as much as in the original draft budget adjustment. How was this adjustment achieved? The finance minister says the amount is significantly lower than requested, and that account balances that appear in August, September and October for projects at PNDL have been taken into account.

  • “In any case, it is significantly less than what was asked for, but the balance of the bills that appear in August, September and October from PNDL are still taken into account because, as you know, this was a period when investment stagnated until action is taken to adjust the contracts. I had a new discussion with the Minister of Development, he gave me the justification needed for the coverage and this additional solution was found.” This was announced by Finance Minister Adrian Cachiu on Thursday.

In the spring of this year, against the background of rising prices for building materials and the risk of blocking individual contracts and bankruptcy of individual entrepreneurs, the Government adopted an emergency resolution on adjusting the cost of state investment contracts.
