Also, in the same period, the current account of the balance of payments registered a deficit of 12.29 billion euros compared to 7.2 billion euros in the period January-June 2021. In its structure, the goods balance recorded a deficit higher by 4.18 billion euros, the balance of services recorded a larger surplus by 487 million euros, the balance of primary income recorded a larger deficit by 1.34 billion euros, and the balance of secondary income recorded a smaller surplus by 44 million euro.
Direct investment by non-residents in Romania amounted to EUR 4.37 billion (compared to EUR 3.6 billion in the period January-June 2021), of which the equity share (including estimated net reinvested profit) had a net value of EUR 3.11 billion. and intra-group loans recorded a net value of €1.26 billion.
