Closure of 1,000 Shell gas stations

Indeed, the Anglo-Dutch oil giant owns numerous Shell service stations: according to the brand’s official website, there are more than 40 thousand worldwide, including more than 26,000 points of sale in Europe as well 2500 service stations in France.
But this observation is likely to change in the coming years: Shell actually wants to sell 500 service stations from this year 2024, as well as 500 points of sale during 2025. It is this activity that Shell wants to massively develop: in fact, the company plans to expand its network of electric charging stations around the world, which should reach close to 200,000 charging points by 2030.
A few months ago, the Anglo-Dutch oil giant inaugurated its largest EV charging station in the world: located in Shenzhen, China, it has no less than 258 fast charging points capable of charging more than 3,300 EVs per day.
