According to the news site of the region concerned (78actu), the city of Vesine, located in Ivelin, is preparing to offer parking time for motorists and two-wheeled vehicles.
Launching March 31, 2024, parking in the central part of the city will be absolutely free in certain places. This is what it is.

Free central location on weekends!

Next March, the underground car park at Place du Marché will become free two o’clock THE Friday, SATURDAY AND Sunday. On other days of the week, free will be reduced to a hour. A nice gesture because currently, even if the first thirty minutes in this car park are free, it costs €0.70 from 45 minutes of parking, then €1.40 for the first hour and finally €2.60 for two hours. THE SATURDAY, valid for half price from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The underground car park at Place du Marché, unlike the others managed by the public service (DSP), is fully managed by the city of Vesine. It has 150 seats.
According to the website 78actu, which interviewed Marc Lerouge, the chief of staff of Mayor Vesin, he explains that he wants to “promote underground parking more than surface parking and offer time to visit our vendors.” Before adding: “We want to prioritize this car park which is very large and which is not used as much as we would like because people park on the surface because it is more practical. Therefore, we want to direct the flow of vehicles to this underground parking. »

The thirty minute extension is free

Because good news never comes by itself, another measure will have direct effect from March 31, 2024. THE thirty minutes free will be extended to all white areas thereby providing financial relief to those who attend “secondary” commercial spaces from the city Until now, only red zones benefited from this free period, limited to once per day per vehicle. Unlike red zones, parking is charged in white zones EUR 0.80 for half an hour.
Paid parking was valid from Tuesday to Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m and with 14:00 to 18:30. However, the white zones have already benefited from completely free access on Sundays, Mondays, public holidays, and from July 14 to August 15. The decision to extend free parking has been welcomed by many residents and traders, who see the initiative as an opportunity to further boost commercial activity and promote smoother mobility in the city.
