Common practice
The future of electric vehicles is increasingly uncertain, while Europe is determined to move towards cleaner mobility. For example, the proposed law banning the sale of internal combustion vehicles by 2035 has taken a significant step forward and will enter into force. At the same time, tax breaks and intense media coverage have helped make electric vehicles (EVs) a growing share of the automotive market. In 2022, they already accounted for almost 12.1% of new car sales on the Old Continent. A figure that continues to rise. Charging station specialist ChargeGuru recently conducted in-depth research to understand the habits of EV users and answer key questions about their practicality and cost to individuals. Every day owners of electric cars, as a rule, give preference home charging power the car battery.
There is an exception to the end of sales of diesel cars in 2035, voted by the European Parliament: luxury cars (Ferrari, etc.). Of course, there are not many of them, so the emissions will be limited, but for the symbol and social justice, it will be necessary to return pic.twitter.com/6gPS9lc6ZE

Little extra cost
In single-phase available capacities 3.7 or 7.4 kW, and in three-phase they reach 11 or 22 kW. Note that only the first two options fall under state aid (the Advenir program), the other two are still rare. On average, EV drivers charge their vehicles at home to drive about 300 km per week. However, some users drive up to 1000 km per week. In terms of costs, it is important to note that daily consumption increases by approximately 21% compared to a thermal vehicle. This increase leads to an increase in the electricity bill. For an average distance of 300 km, this means a weekly consumption of approximately 50 kWh (or approximately 16.7 kWh per 100 km). In monetary terms, this is equal to the monthly expenses inclusive from 30 to 40 euros. A small additional cost that remains well below the price paid for a petrol car, with a simple fill-up now over the €50 mark.
