
French-made charging station
Group Renault and its partners in the Software République innovation ecosystem (Orange, STMicroelectronics and Thales) announce the industrial launch PowerBox mobilizationand intelligent charging station made in France, at the Symbiose electronics factory in Lacroix, located in Beaupre-en-Moges in Maine-et-Loire. The initial production capacity of this new production line is 65,000 units per year.
Mobilize PowerBox is a charging station that adapts to all electrical installations, both single-phase and three-phase. Universal, it can be installed indoors or outdoors, on a wall or on a stand. She benefits from a dynamic energy management systemwhich allows the charging power to be modulated by adapting to the power available in the electrical network: in this way, it avoids any disconnection in the homes of its users.
The Mobilize PowerBox is AC powered and provides a charging power up to 22 kWdepending on the electrical installation and the carrying capacity of the car. This system is compatible with all electric and hybrid vehicles equipped with a Type 2 outlet.
Mobilize PowerBox: four versions for all needs
This new terminal from Mobilize adapts to the different needs of individuals and professionals, with four versions :
Version Uno is designed for people looking for a simple and safe home charging solution, while the version Uno Plus designed for businesses and condominiums with an RFID card reader for user identification. Version Uno Pro refers to solutions available to the public or installed among company employees: with its RFID reader and MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) counter, it allows re-invoicing of the electricity consumed to simplify the reimbursement of professional expenses of employees.
Finally a version Back equipped with two-way charging, which allows you to both charge the car and return electricity to the home and public grid. This allows for significant savings while providing intelligent energy management. This version will be available for launch the new 100% electric Renault 5.
The Mobilize PowerBox charging station will soon be sold in the Renault network for all electric vehicles of the French group’s brands.
