Introduced last September, the third generation Mini Countryman not only grew further, it also switched to a 100% electric motor, but not only that. In addition to the 2 electric options, the SUV also offers 4 different heat engines.

3 gasoline engines and one diesel engine for the Mini Countryman

Mini is gradually adding engines to its new SUV. First presented in a 100% electric version, and then made public by the manufacturer sports version of John Cooper Works. Powered by a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, the latter distributes its 221 kW (300 hp) and 400 Nm of torque to all 4 wheels to reach 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. Its top speed is 250 km/h and its price in France starts at €57,000. At the other end of the spectrum we find version “C” at a price of 46,280 euros. Its 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine, 125 kW (170 hp) and 280 Nm of torque allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 212 km/h hours Today, two new thermal options expand their catalog, starting with S ALL4. Positioned between the first two, its 4-cylinder mild-hybrid 48V turbo petrol engine develops 160 kW/218 hp. and 360 Nm of torque. Enough to accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds at a starting price of 52,430 euros. Mini has also finally added a diesel to the engine range for its Countryman! It is also a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with mild hybridization, but only 120 kW (163 hp). Priced from €49,430, the Countryman D equipped with this diesel unit accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.

2 electric Mini Countryman

Obviously, along with all these new heat engines,The Mini Countryman also exists in several 100% electric versions. A twin to the BMW iX1 as well as the recently introduced iX2, the mini SUV is currently offered in two battery options. At the entry level, we find the ‘E’ variant with its single front engine producing 150 kW (204 hp) and 250 Nm, a 0-100 km/h time of 8.6 seconds, and a maximum range of 462 km. . Everything is displayed at the starting price of 50,070 euros. The two engines of the SE ALL4 version develop a total power of 230 kW (313 hp) and 494 Nm. This is enough to reduce the acceleration of the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds, but also slightly reduce its maximum range to 433 km. The starting price of the Countryman SE ALL4 in France is €55,570. Note that these two variants of the 100 Electric share the same 66.5kWh battery pack, as well as the same 130kW maximum charging power. Combining the two, the mini SUV can charge from 10% to 80% in about half an hour when connected to a fast charger, which is still reasonable. It must be said that the Countryman is still based on a 400-volt architecture, which is also capable of housing heat engines.

New engines are not finished arriving under the hood of the Countryman. yes Since the launch of its new model, Mini has directly announced the color: in addition to electric, gasoline and diesel engines, its SUV will also be available in hybrid versions. Derivatives about which we do not yet have the slightest technical precision, although we assume they will be identical to the X1 xDrive25e and xDrive30e.
