A change is needed
In recent years, all manufacturers have slowly begun to electrify their catalog. And it is not for nothing that the European Union wants to ban the sale of thermal cars throughout the country from 2035, with the exception of the sale of brands less than 1000 cars per year. Suffice it to say that it will affect everyone, even the most elite manufacturers like Lamborghini. And that’s not really a problem, as the firm also wants to return to electric cars in the coming years. In fact, this was recently announced by its boss Stefan Winkelmann during a round table with the Italian press. In particular, it recalls Lamborghini’s desire to ” reduce the carbon footprint by 40% by 2030 throughout the value chain“. But that’s not all. In particular, he explains that “with regard to electric cars, it is too early to give an answer today, but I can talk about the reception that the Revuelto, which is a hybrid, has received and in general it has been very positive.”

More electricity
He goes on to explain that “regarding the Lanzador concept, we’re gathering feedback, we’re also going to do research to understand a bit more generally what the attitude towards a super sports car or a super sports car from all-electric days is.” Regarding the zero-emission car, the businessman claims that “we are working on software, weight/power ratio, cars that we think can exceed the expectations of the best internal combustion cars. It needs to be checked, we are working on it, give us some time. You will, of course, see it yourself.” He continues: “If you ask me when the first electric cars will leave the factory, it’s hard to say now: it depends a bit on when, in 2028, we introduce the Lanzador. Therefore, it is very likely that there are first copies delivered in 2029“. But it remains a mere possibility, and we’ll still have to be patient before we know more.
