This system is called social leasing and allows you to buy an electric car for only 100 euros per month. Needless to say, it’s very attractive!

And inevitably, this new offer quickly became a big success, with no fewer than 80,000 people “asking to be contacted again when the first contracts are ready,” according to the former energy minister. What is the solution?

Moreover, it risks costing the state dearly, because it spends at least 13,000 euros from its own pocket for each car financed through social leasing.
