Indeed, until now a certain tolerance was practiced towards them parking, most of the time free. But like Paris from 2022, the city Boulogne-Biancourtlocated in Haute-de-Seine (92), on the immediate outskirts to the south-west of Paris, has just followed the bad example of the capital by imposing paid parking for two-wheelers from January 1, 2024.

On this occasion, 200 allocated seats for motorcycles and scooters will be created by the city, on the road: this is not necessarily good news, since they will undoubtedly replace the spaces for cars, which are increasingly rare.

Like its Greater Paris counterparts such as Crème-Bicetre, Charenton-les-Ponts or Vincennes, other towns bordering Paris located in the Val-de-Marne (94), Boulogne-Billancourt now charges (very expensive) parking for two wheelers, with a Price List which has just been discovered.

As with cars, Parking is charged Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.however, it remains free on Sundays, public holidays, and from August 1 to 15 (August 31 in the orange zone).

Up to €10 for a quarter of an hour of parking!

In practice, the city of Boulogne-Billancourt is divided into two zones : in Red zonean hour of parking costs €1 for two-wheelers per step 30 carats every quarter of an hour. From the second hour, an additional quarter of an hour increases to 5.50 euros the next quarter of an hour will cost you 10 euros ! Outside 2:30 parkingyou risk an FPS (after-parking package) of €17.50.

The same rule applies in the orange zone with a the price per hour is 1 euro, except that you can stay in the parking lot for 5 hours. From the fifth hour, an additional quarter of an hour increases to €5.50, then the next quarter of an hour will cost you €10! Outside 5:30 parkingyou risk an FPS (after-parking package) of €17.50.

For residents and specialists, fixed subscriptions (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) are planned: but be careful, they don’t work if you park on one of the streets in the red zone…

In addition to this new unpopular event, there will be another change make everyday life even more difficult of all road users: c Speed ​​limit has just been downgraded to 30 km/h throughout the city of Boulogne-Billancourt (except for departmental roads)!
