And, unfortunately, no improvement is expected, on the contrary, while oil-producing countries want to further reduce exports. This will lead to further increases in gas prices in the coming months. And it’s not about the state doing something like cutting back taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel. Only a small check of €100 will be offered, subject to income conditions. Obviously, this difficult situation creates tension among drivers, and not only motorists.

Interrupted flight

Indeed, thefts are becoming more and more frequent, sometimes even by transport professionals, as we have already seen. And this happens in most cases on highways, where many drivers rest, leaving their trucks at the mercy of bandits. And this is exactly what happened a few days ago in the Marne, or rather on the national road 4 on Esterne commune. On December 16, at two o’clock in the morning, the police found a suspicious car in the parking lot of the rest area.

Arrested and convicted

They quickly decided to check the residents, one of them was found in a truck trailer, trying to steal fuel. The second fled into the forest. The arrested man was taken into custody and brought to court, although he quickly admitted the facts. He was tried for attempted burglary as part of an appearance procedure after previously pleading guilty, and faces a heavy sentence for the botched pump attempt.
