As the ban on the sale of heat engines approaches, as it is scheduled for 2035, manufacturers are working hard. And everyone is worried, because they will have to massively electrify their catalog in the coming years. And that’s even if they’re not all in the same boat. Indeed, while some are already well advanced, like Volkswagen, others are still a bit behind. For its part, Renault is generally on schedule, and the firm has big ambitions for the coming years.

R5 promised success
In fact, the manufacturer introduced it in 2021 Renolution, which announced its goals for the future. Among them is the launch of several 100% electric models, including the future of R5 E-Tech. But does the latter have all the cards in hand to dethrone Clio, the current generation of which saw the light of day in 2019? No doubt. And for good reason, the new electric city car already has a very desirable look that should evoke nostalgia. And judging by the public’s initial reactions, it seems to be working. But that’s obviously not all!
Affordable price
Because in addition to design, Renault 5 E-Tech has features electric motor well thought out, with a range of up to 400 kilometers. Enough to tempt even the most reluctant, who will no longer be afraid to make long trips behind the wheel. But the main argument remains the price, since the latter should be displayed in the region of 25,000 euros. By the way, Renault Clio starts from 18,500 euros, but does not have the right to an environmental bonus and has an increasingly cheaper thermal engine.
