You have undoubtedly noticed that everything in everyday life has increased. Indeed, inflation affects all areas of daily life, from shopping to fuel and car maintenance. Even duties have not been spared, although they have seen an average surge of 4.75% this year as companies can pass on up to 70% of the inflation rate. And, unfortunately, this is far from the end. But one more item of expenses had to increase significantly: technical inspection. But is it really?
Inspection is theoretically mandatory for all cars. But there are models exempt from any checks! https://t.co/fLJLrlczh5

There is no flash
Well, contrary to all expectations, it’s actually not the case, which is very strange, you must admit. And it is not for nothing that this year the average price of a periodic review was displayed at the level of 79.52 euros, which corresponds to a slight increase of 2.45%. This obviously remains very reasonable compared to others, whereas last year you had to shell out around €77.62 for the identical service. But what then explains this amazing price stability? There are actually several reasons for this. First, there is a lot of competition between centers, which pushes prices down.
Strong disproportions
In addition, prices rose very sharply in 2018, increasing by 12.2% due to the tightening. Since then, growth has declined significantly. However, there is still a lot strong disparities between departments, as Haute-Savoie requires an average of €99.46, while Moselle, where the MOT is the cheapest in France, is only €69.57. In addition, the price differences are also significant depending on the engine.
