It’s no secret that fuel prices in France are very high, and have been for almost two years. The outbreak, which can be explained by several reasons, starting with the war in Ukraine and also in the Middle East, as well as the drop in oil production, and increase in demand. An explosive cocktail that then inevitably raises prices at the gas station, much to the dismay of motorists who are the first to drink. And, unfortunately, this is far from the end.
Europe has agreed to end the heat engine by 2035. However, the fuel tax is an important source of revenue for the French state. https://t.co/M17WH4kOC3

A slight decline
However, while petrol and diesel are still very expensive, there has been a very slight drop in prices in recent weeks. Obviously, nothing surprising when we are still a long way from the €1.20 recorded at the first birth. But it is true prices are falling a bit, which comes just in time for the end of the year holidays. Thus, a liter of diesel is losing the most, as it now costs less than €1.70 at many gas stations across France. Very good news for motorists!
Gasoline too
But that’s not all, because drivers of gasoline cars can also rejoice. Really, unleaded 95 E10 fell in price by 2 cents and now averages 1.7685 euros. Just enough to give everyone a little pep up who’s heading out for the end of the year celebrations in a few days! Because maybe the recession will continue, to a lesser degree, and prices will still be very high, no matter what, because of taxes, among other things.
