Toyota is taking advantage of its Kenshiki Forum, an event held annually in Brussels, Belgium, to present Toyota Urban SUV conceptconcept car 100% electric SUV battery, heralding a new urban production model to be launched in the first half of 2024. An opportunity to clarify the brand’s strategy for 100% electric cars.

At 4.30 meters long, 1.82 meters wide and 1.62 meters high, the Toyota Urban SUV concept announces an urban SUV model that will soon compete with the Peugeot e-2008, in addition to the Yaris Cross, which is already in the Toyota range and equipped by car – hybrid engine charging.

Toyota Urban SUV Concept: Designed for Europe

The upcoming new model will be part of the range 6 future 100% electric models, and it will be the most compact of this new family. Intended for the European market, it is B-segment SUV was designed to meet the expectations of customers from the Old Continent. Toyota already claims that it has great versatility, while offering the quality, durability and reliability dear to the Japanese brand.

The Toyota Urban SUV concept offers clean, futuristic lines with a muscular body that conveys an elevated driving position. The manufacturer has not shown images of the interior of this concept, but reports that it will be flexible to give priority to passengers or cargo, according to needs. We assume that it will be equipped with a sliding seat and practical amenities for everyday life.

All-wheel drive and two batteries in the catalog

Several variations will be offered, including front- or front-wheel drive versions. all-wheel drivewhile the choice will be offered between two battery capacitiesto meet all budgets and all autonomy needs.

Toyota is continuing its strategy of enriching its range with cars equipped with zero-emission engines, and is also considering alternative fuels. At least six new 100% electric models will appear in Europe by 2026, and the manufacturer aims to bring only zero-emission cars by 2035 in Europeaiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

More details on the upcoming production model, modeled after the Toyota Urban SUV concept, will be revealed in the coming months, ahead of its expected unveiling for the first half of 2024.
